This 21 ft Sirius by Vandestadt & McGruer must be checked out. If you are looking for a great day sailor/weekender or again one that can be sailed solo then this is the one. Due to the large deep cockpit area she is also safe for family sailing. This well maintained boat is in excellent condition. It features a drop down keel which cranks into the hull. A tilting mast system is also employed to make the boat easy to trailer sail. A new Plastimo 406 roller furler was fitted in 2006. A new McWilliams main sail was also bought in 2006. Additional sails include a cruising genoa and a spinnaker sail. She has great head to wind performance and has been a forgiving boat in rough seas. Unusal for a day sailer she has 4' 9" of headroom or 6'3" with the pop top raised and can sleep 5. Comfort is assured by the fitment of upholstered cushions throughout. The interior is equipped with four cabin lockers, a stainless steel sink w/Hand Pump, a 2 Burner Alcohol Stove and a fold down table. A sea toilet makes up the essential equipment required for a weekend trip. The yacht comes with a Mariner 5hp outboard long shaft engine which has been serviced annually. An SBS double-axle trailer was bought for her in 2006 - not identified in the picture. The attached specification details the additional items included in the purchase.
