Navigator History and Construction Details:
The Navigator and Californian yacht lines are classically designed with value in mind. Skilled craftsmanship and quality materials are the focus of this American-owned and American-built company. Since 1988, the Marshalls have built over 1000 high quality, semi-custom pilothouse yachts. Their focus for creating a unique and superior product remains unchanged.

Navigator Yachts, Inc. is now recognized world wide by experienced boaters for their commitment to create the finest hand-crafted yachts. Navigator trademarks - efficient hull design, superb visibility from the pilothouse and salon, and owner customized fabrics.

Solid hand laid glass hulls, with NO coring at all. The decks and the hull are bolted together then fiberglassed on the inside. The superstructure is solid glass also. The decks have coring only in the flat structural sections that support weight. One of the few products that they do not make in-house is the one piece solid hardwood stringers that are custom built for each model, then individually wrapped and shipped to the factory where they are then heavily encapsulated in the vessel which produces a very strong hull.

Navigator fabricates ALL their metal work in-house. The welded and polished railings, swim ladders, the doors, the windows, the aluminum framed flooring, All tanks, fuel (1/2" aluminum) ALL in-house. Unlike other manufacturers who buy so much of their material from outside vendors, who sometimes go out of business, and/or offer no warranty at all, Navigator can always make you another part if ever needed and they stand behind the product because they make it.

The carpeting, furniture, mattresses, wiring, plumbing, panels, cabinetry, upholstery, etc. is all done in-house. Again- this allows the builder to control the quality, produce spares and replacements if ever needed AND to warrant it all. There is no exterior wood on the vessels.

The fuel tanks are designed to be dip-sticked and are located below the cockpit, this is a Navigator trademark, which surely tells you these people know boats, because the one thing you do not want to trust to electronic sending units and gauges is your fuel-tankage. This you should always visually confirm.
